The 3-Gun Course is a five day program of instruction designed for Police Officers who may be required to employ the pistol, shotgun and carbine during the conduct of their regular duties.  The course covers drawing from the holster, target indexing, engaging targets while moving, executing magazine changes, transitioning weapons, employing various sighting methods and other tactically relevant marksmanship techniques.  This is a demanding course designed with the
 SWAT officer in mind, but is available to any LEO regardless of duty position and level of experience. 
 
Training includes a 20/80 ratio of classroom instruction and live-fire.  Officers attending training are expected to provide their own weapons and ammunition.

1500 rounds duty pistol ammo Duty pistol w/ 3 magazines
900 rounds duty carbine ammo Duty carbine w/ 3 magazines
200 rounds duty shotgun ammo (#6-#9) Duty shotgun
20 rounds duty shotgun ammo (00 Buck) Kevlar helmet
20 rounds duty shotgun ammo (slug) Protective ballistic glasses
  Hearing protection
  Level III or higher body armor
  Gloves
  Pistol Belt W/Holster
  2 magazine pouch/carrier, pistol
  2 magazine pouch/carrier, carbine
  Shotshell holder (on weapon or duty gear)
  Tactical light (Surefire or equivalent)
  Knee/Elbow Pads
