Phase
I |

This
course teaches
the fundamentals of organizing a community coalition.
Participants are introduced to the theory of risk and
protective factors, and begin to build, or build upon, the
foundation of an effective coalition.
Collectively,
class members start to formulate a vision, plan, and
comprehensive strategy in order to assist their communities
and state. |

Phase
II |
|
This
course furthers the vision of a coalition and builds upon
previous training. Participants examine the current state of
their community, and further their knowledge, in order to
assess, evaluate, refine, and sustain current coalition
initiatives.
Together,
class members will refine the vision and mission of their
coalition in order to enhance programs and strategies already
existing in their communities and state.
A
day of map reading and land navigation is included as a team
building activity. |
